The most stressful day teaching so far? Field trip day. It was a day I had been dreading since the beginning of school when I heard that the fourth grade class always takes a lot of field trips. While I have been on my fair share of field trips with my classes, I was fortunate to never have to PLAN any of them. Planning a field trip is stressful. Planning a field trip in a foreign country where one does not speak the native language fluently is even more stressful. I know a lot of people were praying for us on the day of the trip, so thank you, thank you, thank you!
After our morning at the museum, we safely arrived back at school in time for lunch at our neighborhood park. Lunch was followed by a great game of capture the flag (CTF if you are speaking to one of my students), fifth grade versus fourth grade, and I must add that my fourth graders dominated.
I still have one more field trip planned before the end of the school year. Now that I survived the first one, I feel like I can handle it. I guess we will see.
Always thankful for your prayers. Keep them coming. To God be the glory in and through it all.
